Day 1: Arrival in Amalfi

The first day is all about exploring the beautiful town of Amalfi. You’ll be making your way there on your own. Once you arrive, take a leisurely stroll through the town center, or dive into the Tyrrhenian Sea for a swim. Then, visit St. Andrew’s Cathedral, which holds the remains of the saint himself.

Don’t miss out on the fascinating Arabesque cloister, either. If you’re curious, you can even visit the Museo della Carta to learn about 14th-century water-driven presses.

Day 2: Valle dei Mulini circular walk

Today is all about exploring the charming countryside of the Amalfi Coast. First, visit the Valle dei Mulini, where you can see the ruins of some of Europe’s oldest paper factories from over a thousand years ago. Then, head to the cute little village of Pontone, where you can picnic at Torre dello Zirro and enjoy the breathtaking views of both Amalfi and Atrani.

Next, take a trip to the charming town of Ravello, where you can admire its stunning Romanesque church. For even more breathtaking views, be sure to stop by the gardens of villas Rufolo and Cimbrone, both famous for their terraces with some of the most beautiful views in the world.

Finally, you will make your way through the picturesque town of Atrani, taking in its charming white streets and unique character, before heading back to Amalfi.

Day 3: Amalfi to Praiano

It is time to embark on a slightly strenuous but breathtaking hike along the Maestra dei Villaggi, a historic 9th-century mule track. You will pass charming villages, the impressive Santa Rosa Monastery, and scenic churches along the way. You can stop for lunch at the stunning fjord of Furore at a local restaurant to regain enough strength to continue.

After a steep ascent, you will hike through the uncultivated Valley of Praia and pass by a house once occupied by a local wizard. Finally, as you descend to Praiano, you will marvel at its picturesque inlet, Marina di Praia, and its small, natural beaches.

On the pilgrimage trail, you ascend to the San Domenico monastery, perched on a hillside with breathtaking coastline views. There, you can take a moment to soak in the scenery before continuing uphill through diverse rock formations and lush vegetation.

The final stretch of the Path of the Gods lives up to its name with stunning views of the sea, Praiano, Positano, and Capri. Journey through scenic valleys to reach the hamlet of Nocelle. Continue to the charming village of Montepertuso, where you can choose your descent to the picturesque Positano.
